Intermestic: Journal of International Studies (INTERMESTIC) is pleased to announce an open recruitment for scholars and practitioners who are interested in contributing to the development of academic publishing and editorial work for the 2026 term. The journal invites applications for the positions of Reviewer, Journal Editor, and Section Editor.

As a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on the intersection between international and domestic dynamics, INTERMESTIC is committed to advancing rigorous scholarship and fostering meaningful academic dialogue on global–local relations. Through this recruitment, the journal seeks individuals who demonstrate strong academic integrity, a solid research background, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in scholarly publishing.

Applicants are expected to have an academic background in International Relations, Political Science, or related social science fields, along with proficiency in academic English and active research profiles such as SINTA, Google Scholar, or Scopus. A clear record of ethical academic conduct is essential, as the journal prioritizes integrity and quality in all stages of publication.

For the Reviewer position, applicants are preferably doctoral degree holders with a consistent record of scholarly publications in recent years and a willingness to conduct double-blind peer review within established timelines. Candidates applying for the Journal Editor position are expected to have at least a master’s degree, with preference given to those holding a doctoral degree, as well as experience as a lead author in reputable journals and familiarity with the Open Journal Systems platform. Meanwhile, applicants for the Section Editor position should demonstrate strong analytical and methodological capabilities relevant to different types of manuscripts, including perspective, review, and research-based articles.
