Abstrak
The decline in terrorist attacks and the weakening of the international terrorist network over the past five years have yet eliminated the threat of terrorism in Indonesia. Potential threats remain high due to factors such as the use of technology for online recruitment and radicalization, the involvement of women and adolescents, and domestic political vulnerabilities. To address this issue, a qualitative study was conducted to examine the Indonesian National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) strategy. This study aims to assess BNPT in fulfilling its role as the Center for Terrorism Analysis and Crisis Control as mandated by Law No. 5 of 2018. The conclusions were drawn from data obtained through focused group discussions with policymakers, literature reviews, and counterterrorism policy analysis from Indonesia and other countries as references. The findings indicate that the BNPT's function as a center for terrorism analysis and crisis control needs to be optimized by developing regulations to strengthen its role and foster effective communication and coordination between the BNPT and relevant stakeholders.
